With the inception of Eacon Mining Technology Australia Pty Ltd in December 2023 and key milestones in 2024, we have established our new office in West Perth and expanded our partnerships. We are rapidly growing and seeking talented professionals to join our team in Perth.
We are looking for a senior product specialist to define product requirements tailored for the Australian market, focusing on adapting our autonomous driving solutions originally deployed in China. This role involves identifying gaps between current product capabilities and the operational, regulatory, and user expectations in Australia, translating these into actionable requirements for the R&D team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyse and define localisation feature requirements, ensuring clear documentation.
- Collaborate with business development and project delivery teams to align product features with client needs and project timelines.
- Coordinate with the China-based product team to ensure a shared understanding of schedules and features.
- Assist with product upgrades and on-site releases.
- Update and refine product manuals to reflect ongoing enhancements.
- Support sourcing and evaluation of local components to ensure a smooth supply chain.
- Define and manage localised product requirements based on Australian mining sector demands.
- Analyse existing autonomous products deployed in China and identify necessary adaptations for Australia.
- Work closely with engineering and R&D teams in China to translate high-level needs into detailed technical requirements.
- Ensure localisation aligns with Australian mining standards (safety, compliance, UI, environmental conditions).
- Act as a technical liaison between Australian mining operations, stakeholders, and product development.
- Maintain knowledge of autonomy system architecture, including perception, planning, control, and communication modules.
- Provide technical input during requirement reviews, iterations, and system design discussions.
- Conduct comparative analysis of manual vs. autonomous LHD processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Travel to mine sites to assess product gaps and gather improvement requirements.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical, Mining, Computer Science, or related fields).At least 2 years of experience in product management or analysis.Minimum 3 years of mining experience, especially in open-pit operations and Load-Haul-Dump processes.Over 5 years of experience in autonomous systems or related heavy equipment industries.Strong communication, technical analysis, and presentation skills.Willingness to travel frequently, including internationally.Deep understanding of system architecture, control systems, and autonomy stacks.Proven ability to develop and specify product requirements.Excellent cross-cultural communication skills.Experience with Fleet Management Systems (FMS) is a plus.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.What We Offer :
