The primary role of the Dispute Resolution Associate is to manage the administration of new and ongoing complaints.
Complaints against Lloyd's underwriters are made against the Society of Lloyd's and as such it is imperative that policyholder complaints are handled in an appropriate manner. Due to the unique eco system of the Lloyd's market, complaints can be made through third parties (coverholders and third-party administrators); to managing agents or directly to Lloyd's Dispute Resolution team. Direct contact is made with Australian and New Zealand policyholders / complainants, brokers, coverholders and DCAs.
This is often the first touchpoint with the Society of Lloyd's and therefore high impact.
This role has the function of a complaints department but also a regulatory operational role that handles a significant amount of data for over 600 complaints a year. The role will need to determine whether the matter is ready to be reviewed by the Lloyd's Australia Dispute Resolution team, ensure the first stage of the complaint process is appropriately handled and responded to by the coverholder / DCA / managing agent and ensure that all regulatory processes & referrals have been followed before a decision is made by the stage two teams.
