WAALI is seeking a Programs Director to lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of our Leadership Programs. This senior role is responsible for ensuring all programs reflect WAALI's values and purpose, based on Aboriginal ways of leadership. The Programs Director will directly manage the Women's Leadership Programs—Yorga Djenna Bidi and the Women's PEIL prison program—while also providing oversight and support to all program teams, including Maaman Djenna Koorl, Men's PEIL, and the Emerging Leaders Program. Working closely with Elders, community members, and the WAALI team, the successful candidate will co-design and implement initiatives that create belonging and take participants on a leadership growth journey.
The ideal candidate has strong connections to Aboriginal community, demonstrated experience in program leadership, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders. You will bring a background in community development, education, or leadership, along with experience in program design, delivery, and evaluation. The role involves managing programs, supporting staff, and maintaining strong relationships with community organizations, government bodies, and participants. You'll also be responsible for measuring program outcomes and reporting to the CEO to support continuous improvement.
