Job descriptionGarde Timber is an award winning Brisbane Southside based distributor of Architectural Timber products to local and interstate markets incorporating Laminated solid timber bench top and stair fabrication, Slab Timber sales and value adding.
We currently require a multi skilled Timber Yard Person - Full Time position with Saturday morning work included(half day every 2 weeks).
To be considered for this position you will require :
- Minimum 2 years experience in the timber or affiliate industry with a valid forklift and car licence
- Having some Carpentry / cabinet making / furniture making / polishing skills would be a major advantage to dress and sand and value add our Timber products.
- Be physically fit, energetic and enjoy some manual labour for order assembly.
- Experience with using tools, chainsaw, power,docking and Bench saws ,routers ,jigsaws taking measurements and cutting accurately as per specification
- Ability to drive a small body truck with car licence for order pick ups and deliveries.
- Clerical and numeracy skills with the ability to read and interpret paperwork & customer orders
- Ability to follow instructions with good communication skills and work within a small team
- 8 hour shift
Customer service-serving customers ,phone sales back-up and quoting
On the job training will be provided.
On offer is an attractive wage + super depending upon the individual's skills and experience.
Pay : $23.35 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours : 8 per week
