We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for a Macro Space Planner to join our National Merchandise team based in Macquarie Park NSW.
Reporting to the Macro Space Manager, this exciting opportunity will focus on creating floorplan proposals for our Independent Retail Network in line with our merchandising principles, while over-laying space optimisation recommendations utilising purpose-built analytical tools.
We are seeking a creative problem solver who also understands the financial impact this role has on our Retailers & Customers and can clearly articulate their decisions to stakeholders.

What you'll do
Create and maintain data driven, Shopper lead floorplans for all states
Support the delivery of the channel and category strategies for the independent network improving return on space across the network
Analyse consumer insights and present store recommendations based on a category strategy.
Provide deep analytical analysis using excel, power BI & other tools looking for opportunities to develop a customer centric approach to the merchandise floor plans to maximise gross margin return on space
Advising Trading Managers in Range Reviews, providing return on space analysis and recommendations that adhere to both business and customer strategies
Work closely with the Micro Space team
Work with Trading Managers & key Vendor Partners, delivering recommended flows that are both Customer centric and operationally aligned.
Ensure data integrity of Product Library, Category Footages Database, and other Macro Space Tools.
What you'll be
A minimum of 3 years supermarket retail experience (Preferably) and proven experience working in a fast-paced Space Planning environment within Retail
Customer focused, with strong Visual Merchandising skills and the flexibility to adapt approach from category to category to capitalize on differences in shopper behaviour
Analytical, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and competent in utilising tools such as Excel and PowerBI to analyse and present data with advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, Word & PowerPoint required.
Good verbal communication and writing skills required.
Good understanding of day-to-day Supermarket processes & principles. Specifically, the challenges Retailers face. (Preferably).
An understanding of shelf management principles and supermarket merchandising processes (Preferably).
Intermediate knowledge of Supermarket Refit processes & New Store Builds (Preferably).
Working knowledge of Space Management Software & Tools (Preferably).
