Join to apply for the Sr. Network Engineer role at Belk The Senior Network Engineer takes responsibility for major designs, installation, configuration, implementation and support of all aspects of the network environment, providing technical guidance and oversight and acting as a point of escalation and technical expert.

Job Functions

Provides advice, assistance, and leadership into designs, documents, communicates, and enforces network standards, policies, and procedures for standardizing network assets. Design and implement SD-WAN natively integrated with SASE Configure & orchestrate SDWAN for remote sites Ensuring proper and regular maintenance of firewalls Ensuring periodic testing of the organization's network and systems from a security point of view Making sure that security policies are updated on time and are always up to date Implement and manage hybrid network interconnectivity between on-prem and public cloud environments Configure managed network services in Cloud environments such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform Experience in designing network architectures for high availability, scalability, resiliency, and security. Upgrading cloud-based systems to improve operations Installs, configures, maintains, and replaces network hardware and software. Conducts multiple levels of testing prior to release of new and upgraded network systems, products, or services. Understands the intricacies of combined onshore-offshore support models Performs root cause analysis, resolve problems and recommend solutions. Creating and integrating cloud-based applications that satisfy company requests and allow all network users to securely communicate and access data Analyzes system performance and performs preventative networks maintenance to provide availability according to operating level agreements. Implementing robust security measures to protect cloud infrastructure and data. This includes setting up firewalls, encryption, identity and access management and intrusion detection systems. Performs business continuity and disaster recovery testing. Develops automation scripts and programs to streamline manual operations Performs troubleshooting and issue resolution and escalate issues to appropriate third-party vendors Take responsibility for network installation projects. Implement arrangements for disaster recovery and documents recovery procedures. Draft and maintain procedures and documentation for network support.

Minimum Education & Experience :

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education 11-12 years of experience Experience with retail environments Working expertise with firewalls, access control lists, and load balancers Working expertise with routing and switching technologies - Deep knowledge of Cisco routing protocols and Nexus switches Working expertise in network device monitoring and capacity planning Working knowledge of security strategies and practices Working knowledge / experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform Working knowledge in enterprise network environments Experience with large scale network and security project implementations

Preferred Education & Experience :

CCNA or higher Palo Alto firewall experience Professional Cloud Network Engineer Professional Cloud Architect SD-WAN Certified Professional
