Job description

This is a great time to join us at KHG Contracting! We are currently seeking expression of interest from skilled Boilermaker / Welders to join us in upcoming FIFO projects (Shutdowns & Rostered Works) across Western Australia.

  • Duties
  • Interpret drawings, and meet Australian standard specifications to determine job requirements
  • Carry out remedial works on fixed plant and structural fabrication
  • Mark out, cut, and drill steel sections using hand tools, flame cutting torches and fixed machinery such as, a band saw, drill press and cropping machines
  • Shape, bend and fabricate steel sections and pipe spools
  • Join steel sections and pipework using various welding methods such as, MIG, stick and TIG.
  • Be competent in welding to AS1554 standard and above.
  • Requirements

Mandatory

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the Mining & Resources sector.
  • Have a strong work ethic, able to follow procedures, be flexible and adaptable
  • Valid working rights in Australia
  • Minimum Certificate III in Engineering
  • White Card
  • Working at Heights (Valid within 3 years)
  • Enter and Work in Confined Spaces (Valid within 3 years)
  • High Risk Work License
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate

    • Desirable

  • Australian Driving License
  • Basic Firefighting
  • Rio Tinto, BHP, FMG Inducted
