What To Expect

We are seeking a Logistics Yard Coordinator to oversee management of the Perth logistics yard. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of yard operations, including facilities management, vehicle movements, maintaining accurate inventory control, and personnel supervision within agreed timeframes while balancing costs and service. The role involves communicating with multiple departments and third parties while managing a large volume of vehicles on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency.
• Act as a dedicated point of contact for logistics activities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise and train yard personnel, ensuring they are properly equipped to perform their duties.
• Coordinate with 2PL and 3PL vendors to ensure seamless yard operations and overall business efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), First Aid, and other safety documentation and equipment in consultation with the EHS & Security team.
• Monitor, record, and report damage claims to relevant stakeholders.
• Analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions promptly.
• Collaborate with the Tesla Logistics team, both on-site and remotely, to plan and track vehicle shipments.
• Develop collaborative relationships and communicate relevant information across all levels of the organization and with 3PL partners.
• Manage bookings and data integrity within the Transport Management System.
• Provide support and guidance to other logistics roles within Australia & New Zealand as needed.
• Ensure the warehouse and yard are maintained, clean, and organized, coordinating with relevant organizations for site works.
