- About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Asset Inspector to join our Infrastructure and Maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing proactive inspections of Council assets, including roads, footpaths, car parks, Activity Centre's, and more, ensuring compliance with asset management plans and road management standards.
You will work closely with a variety of teams, assisting in the development of maintenance programs, defect rectification works, and contributing to the ongoing improvement of Council infrastructure.
Day to day duties include but not limited to : _Undertake proactive inspections of Activity Centre's, car parks, roads and road-related infrastructure as per Service Level Plans.As required assist in inspection of roads and road related infrastructure as per Council Road Management PlanAssist in development of proactive maintenance and defect rectification programs and the allocation of works to respective functional units for delivery.Assist in inspections of footpaths and kerb & channels to identify, record and allocate repair works to contractors.Assist in notification of planned works and customer request responses.Identify defects and report defects in any assetsAssist other business units in identification and development of programs of future upgrade or renewal projects based on asset condition.About youAre you passionate about infrastructure and asset management? Do you have experience in conducting inspections and identifying defects in municipal infrastructure? If you possess the ability to self-manage, communicate technical information and take initiative on projects, this is the position for you!
The following is also required : _Certificate level qualifications in a Building / Surveying or Civil Construction discipline and / or experience that demonstrate skills able to confidently perform the inspection role.Demonstrated experience in conducting field inspections, reporting and producing written / photographic / statistical reports.Knowledge of engineering principles in the disciplines relating to construction and general programming of works, monitoring and supporting quality assurance (QA)-based services.Current Driver's licence.Not meeting all the requirements for this role?
