Position Overview

The Senior Data Scientist guides and influences a team of data scientists, business intelligence analysts, and data engineers, contributing independently to solve highly complex business problems.

The ideal candidate possesses expert knowledge and expertise in quantitative analytic methods, data management, visualization, and programming skills to drive data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities include advanced research, model development, implementation, validation of complex algorithms (predictive and prescriptive), and analyzing diverse data sources to achieve targeted outcomes.

This role actively influences project timelines and expectations while designing and implementing new data modeling processes for high-profile projects.

This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Due to work requirements, candidates must be located within 30 miles of Milwaukee or Green Bay, WI.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze large, structured, and unstructured datasets in cloud environments using services like Snowflake, AWS S3, or Google Cloud Storage.

Lead development of advanced predictive models to enhance personalized banking experiences, collaborating with senior leaders.

Oversee building, testing, validating, and deploying machine learning and AI models on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and Snowflake, implementing MLOps practices.

Work independently as a subject matter expert in Data Science and related disciplines.

Create dynamic, interactive data visualizations using platforms like Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, and Looker to communicate complex findings clearly.

Stay updated with emerging technologies, coach and mentor colleagues, and manage complex projects to meet strategic goals.

Additional Skills and Competencies

Proficiency in MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, Google AI Platform), version control, automated testing, CI / CD, and model monitoring.

Strong business acumen and communication skills for effective interaction with senior leaders and stakeholders.

Deep understanding of predictive modeling, clustering, classification, and optimization algorithms.

Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and Hadoop-based data environments.

Leadership and project management skills within a data-driven environment.

Education and Experience

Master's Degree in Quantitative, Analytical, STEM fields with at least 6 years of experience (Required).

Ph.D. in relevant fields with 2+ years of experience (Preferred).

6-8 years in quantitative roles, machine learning, programming in Python, PySpark, R, or Scala.

1+ year experience with cloud platforms and technologies like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.

Our pay range for this role is $103,040.00 - $176,640.00 per year, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
