  • About the role

    We are now seeking a dynamic and flexible Occupational Therapist to join our fantastic Specialised Rehabilitation Program Team in a full time (80 hours / fortnight with ADO) temporary capacity for 12 months until June 2026.

    The Specialised Rehabilitation Program (SRP) is integral to supporting the safe and timely discharge of patients from Western Health inpatient wards and ensuring that recovery of all clients is optimised. SRP works collaboratively with the Rehab at Home program, providing backfill and support to this bed substitution program. Service may therefore include same day or next day service to patients discharged from inpatient wards as part of the Rehab at Home program. Rehab at Home provides intensive rehabilitation to people discharged early from hospital.

    Key responsibilities :

    The Grade 2 Occupational Therapist will have a key role in providing and ensuring best-practice person centred, occupation-focused patient care and excellence in patient care for Specialised Rehabilitation Clients.

    About you :

    To be successful in this role you will have :

    • Appropriate recognised tertiary qualification and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as eligible to practice as an Occupational Therapist
    • Clinical experience working in the community or in a hospital
    • Highly developed interpersonal, written and electronic communication skills
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills
    • Experience in student supervision
    • Knowledge of and participation in continuous quality improvement processes
    • Commitment to continuing professional development
