As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide the support and encouragement for individuals to build their skills to live independently and make their own lifestyle choices. Your support will result in them leading meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Essential requirements for this role include

At least 6 months

paid

experience as a disability support worker, AIN or similar.

Minimum Certificate III in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support

An understanding of restrictive practice

Experience administering medication

Experience providing personal care

Proven ability to work as a part of a close-knit team

Excellent verbal and written skills

Desirable Experience / Training

Experience driving a people mover / minibus

Training and experience in PEG feeding

Manual Handling Training

Therapeutic Crisis Intervention / Behaviour Management Training

Mandatory Checks and licenses

NDIS Worker Check

Working With Children Check

National Criminal History check

Full NSW Drivers License

Two professional references

Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or unrestricted visa holder.
