We're seeking a dedicated Maintenance Supervisor who is passionate about coordination and efficiency of tasks to achieve success.
Join our Brickworks Plant in Wollert, Victoria, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. You will be responsible for planning, organising, controlling and managing the Maintenance Department using the Computer Maintenance Management System (MEX) to ensure cost and production efficiencies.
- Duties include but are not limited to
- Provide technical support for maintenance staff.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and relevant legislation.
- Assist Safety Committee with drafting, implementing, and enforcing new safety procedures.
- Maintain an effective preventative maintenance system to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with Plant Manager and Production Clerk to adhere to the maintenance budget.
- Plan major maintenance work to minimize operational downtime and improve product changeover times.
- Organize modifications and improvements as requested by production.
- Lead and contribute to Operational Excellence initiatives, projects and audits.
- Provide coaching, development and training of maintenance staff.
- Create and arrange rostering for full attendance and minimise production downtime.
- Liaise with Engineering Manager and Electrical Supervisor to ensure electrical manuals, drawings and schematics are accurate and reliable, providing essential information during outages.
- Success Requirements
- Trade Certificate is essential.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Excellent problem solving and fault-finding skills. Able to resolve & / or repair mechanical breakdowns.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising / leading, coaching and developing a team.
