Residential Care Officer

At Cosi's Respite, we are in need of a committed Residential Care Officer who shares our vision of long-term service and can independently manage the responsibilities of the role. The officer will play a crucial role in upholding our company's unwavering commitment to compassion and excellence in disability care.

40 Hours Full-Time contract

You will work in a small and friendly team, in a relaxed atmosphere

Shifts will be on weekdays, weekends and public holidays based on the roster.

Service scope includes but is not limited to :

Essential for this : Working with Children Check, Manual Handling, NDIS Orientation, Restrictive Practices, Sound knowledge and experience in Challenging Behaviours and Positive Behaviour Support, First Aid & CPR, National Crime Check, COVID-19 (fully vaccinated), experienced in Medication Management and Administration, Seizure Management and administration of emergency medications, Epilepsy Essentials, Personal Care Management, Crisis Intervention

Desired for this : Extensive knowledge about disabilities. Continence management, Contact and Behaviour Management, Infection Control, Catheter / Uridome management, PEG, Diabetes & BSL, Epilepsy, ABI, Dysphagia, Pneumonia, Dementia, Auto-Immune Diseases, Autism, Experience working with children within the Department of Child Protection

Experience : Working with people with developmental disabilities : 3 years (preferred)

Language : English (preferred)

Licence / Certification :

Pay : $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
