Base pay rangeA$112,000.00 / yr - A$122,000.00 / yr

HEO7 Base Salary $112,628 - $122,702 + 17% superannuation (pro-rata to 0.6 FTE)

About the opportunity
As the Senior Communications and Engagement Officer, you will play a strategic role in raising awareness of the University's student complaints and conduct processes. Working closely with faculties, student organisations, and key stakeholders, you'll lead targeted engagement initiatives, develop student-centred content, and coordinate outreach activities to ensure staff and students know how and where to raise concerns.
You'll also help shape continuous improvement by gathering insights, identifying service gaps, and communicating the impact of the Unit's work.
Your key responsibilities will be to :
design and deliver engagement campaigns that build trust in complaints processes
create clear, trauma-informed communication for both students and staff
plan and coordinate workshops, training, and outreach activities
collaborate with stakeholders to co-design inclusive and accessible resources
monitor trends and sector best practice to enhance the Unit's reach and impact
analyse engagement data and produce reports that support service improvement.
About you
previous experience in tertiary or a large multi-faceted organisation
ability to communicate complex information clearly and sensitively
experience in developing engaging content for digital and print channels
proven experience in building collaborative relationships across a diverse stakeholder network
experience with translating complex policy and governance requirements to internal and external stakeholders
strong understanding of student experience and inclusive practices.
