  • Mission
  • As the primary HSE representative on site, the HSE Specialist ensures that exemplary Health, Safety, Environment, well-being, and Sustainability standards are met. Lead and manage incidents and investigations in line with either client or internal investigative processes.

    The HSE Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining a positive HSE culture on-site following corporate and project-specific HSE processes and Systems. These align with relevant standards, legislation, and company and project-specific requirements.

    • Main responsibilities
    • Assist management in daily pre-starts, communicating safety topics and alerts as needed
    • Assist with SWMS and SEA processes for the site, inclusive of providing training on HSE systems and processes during project implementation and, as required, ongoing
    • Review approved Systems and Processes in line with the audit schedule as required
    • Oversee Training Needs for projects inclusive of TNA and TRA and maintain database and records
    • Guide and assist the Project Management team on OHS obligations and requirements as stipulated under relevant legislation, contract specifications, and company policies and procedures requirements
    • Liaison with the Project team, client representatives, and regulators as required
    • Provide assistance on site to ensure field crews are working within the SWMS requirements.
    • Ensure a safe office environment, and correct PPE is always utilized through inspections and audit
    • Ensure relevant project reporting and documentation are completed as required
    • Manage corrective actions register
    • Communicate learning, incidents, and alerts from across the broader group to Trevi employees and any from Trevi to the wider group
    • Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental hazards, near misses, and incidents are reported, investigated, and closed out on time
    • Ensure internal safety inspections, audits, and reviews are completed in line with KPI
    • Report safety metrics regularly as required
    • Ensure compliance with project HSEQ requirements and specifications
    • Comply to obligations as stipulated under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1984 2004 and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 1996 2017
    • Implement of IMS HSE Manual, procedures, and training both to Trevi and Client systems
    • Conduct and facilitate HSE and Risk management and mitigation strategy workshops
    • Conduct Risk Assessment and Hazard & Gap analysis
    • Ensure relevant VOCs are in place and training is conducted when required
    • Implement Permit work system in compliance with client / project requirements
    • Requirements
    • Diploma of Work Health and Safety
    • Proven experience working on Tier 1 projects, civil, tunnelling or rail infrastructure experience is advantageous
    • Good command of English, both oral and written
    • Knowledge of standard computer systems such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Must be detail-oriented with a demonstrated proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving
    • Excels at interpersonal communication and ability to form effective relationships across departments
    • Must have the ability multi-task effectively, responding to changing business priorities and targets
    • Sense of urgency in daily work and toward resolving issues
    • Schedule :

    • 8 hour shift
    • Experience
    • Tier 1 projects, civil, tunnelling or rail infrastructure : 1 year (preferred)
    • Language
    • English (preferred)
    • Licence / Certification :

    • Diploma of Work Health and Safety (preferred)
