What's Involved Conduct fabrication and welding / boilermaker duties as directedUnderstand and accept the assigned task, completing within timeframe and budgetOwnership and respect for tools and equipmentAssist in other trade-based sectors of the business during periods of reduced trade-specific work, as reasonably directedUnderstand, implement, and comply with all Austal Policies and Procedures relating to HSEQHold self and workmates accountable to HSEQ standards, promoting a "safety first" cultureYou'll need Essential Trade qualification – Welder / Fabricator, Boat builder, or BoilermakerDemonstrated experience in aluminium welding, with the ability to produce high-quality welds to specificationPrevious experience in Boiler making / Welding in heavy industryAble to attain welding qualification to Survey Body level standardCapable of performing work in a safe and acceptable mannerDemonstrate adequate theoretical knowledgeAbility to use standard tools and equipment related to the tradeGood time management skills and ability to meet set targetsDesirable
