    • We are looking for people with strong leadership, analytical and communication skills and experience in areas including economics, regulation, data science, and policy analysis
    • Lead a dynamic, diverse, and collaborative team dedicated to achieving impactful results on a variety of engaging projects
    • Temporary roles (up to 2 years) within NSW Government, with the potential to extend (a talent pool may also be established)
    • Full-time and part-time roles available
    • Central Sydney location, with flexible working conditions and hybrid working options
    • About the role
    • We are looking for Principal Analysts to lead collaborative and high performing teams within the Pricing and Policy Division at IPART.

      As a Principal Analyst, you will lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality economic and policy analysis to support the Tribunal's decisions on pricing and policy issues. You will also oversee reviews across various sectors of the economy, recommending improvements to foster competition, enhance productivity, and improve the wellbeing of people in NSW.

      In this role, you will tackle complex problems, manage people, and oversee a diverse portfolio of work. You will conduct pricing reviews, offer strategic advice and analysis to the Tribunal on intricate economic and financial matters, and produce insightful public reports. Success in this position requires exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong leadership and mentoring skills for your team, effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • About you
    • You are a goal-oriented self-starter who is keen to lead projects and is flexible to adapt to changing work priorities
    • You are passionate about making a difference to the lives of people in NSW
    • You have tertiary qualifications in economics, business, finance, data science, engineering, environment, science, law or other relevant qualifications or equivalent demonstrated professional experience
    • Significant relevant professional experience in complex economic and financial analysis or within a policy or price setting context.
