Job Description
- Your role
As IT Network Coordinator you will focus on IT network service delivery, and network projects. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will ensure that IT network is meeting operational business needs. A key part of the role is working with internal stakeholders to scope requested network projects and activities. During network project deployments the role will also report to the IT Project Manager. During new deployments you will ensure that 3rd party technical vendors follow our established IT network standards, and work with established solutions. The role includes coordinating network operational remediation activities.

This is a full-time, permanent job role (38 hours pw) in our South Brisbane office.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Key responsibilities
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to document requirements, scope, timeframes, and a likely Bill of Materials for WAN, LAN, WI-FI and VOIP.
- Work under the direction of the IT Project Manager from formal project initiation, through the delivery completion.
- Work within the established and documented IT network standards, working with multiple network service providers, and internal stakeholders, attend project meetings as required and assist in the delivery of successful project delivery.
- Order and track new equipment and services.
- Escalate operational or project service quality issues with the IT Manager or IT Project Manager.
- Work closely with IT Manager and the IT Project Manager to maintain a high level of IT network service quality for staff, members, and volunteers.
- Work within established Cyber Security policies and network security standards.
- Support a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement throughout the IT operations, with demonstrated year on year improvements in all areas.
- Undertake other duties, which are assigned from time to time by your manager.
- In all duties, comply with the behavioural expectations set out in the Vinnies's Code of Conduct, and our policies and procedures.
- Qualifications and experience
- A solid background in IT Networking. Formal qualifications in IT networking will be highly regarded.
- Experience working in IT networking projects as a coordinator or a non-technical facilitation role.
- This role will require regular day travel in Southeast QLD and occasional overnight travel throughout the state. Ability to drive essential.
- Experience and confidence in engaging with internal stakeholders.
- Experience and confidence in engaging with IT vendors.
- Demonstrated understanding of networking solutions, including.- Knowledge of the range of network product types and their uses including WAN, LAN, WI-FI and VOIP.
- High level understanding of key network design concepts.
- High level understanding of network cyber security principles and practices.
- Exposure to SD-WAN solutions will be highly regarded, but not essential.
- Experience in IT hardware and services ordering, tracking, and provisioning.
- Experience in working either for or alongside a medium to large sized IT vendor.
- Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedure
