About Us

Founded by leading psychologist Dr Tracy Westerman AM, the Jilya Institute is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation dedicated to addressing systemic gaps in Indigenous mental health by delivering culturally appropriate services, supporting Indigenous psychology students, and driving nationally significant research.

The Role

As our Senior Clinical Psychologist , you will :

Lead the setup and delivery of the new National Indigenous Psychology Centre

Supervise and support a team of Indigenous psychologists and students

Deliver high-quality, culturally grounded psychological assessments and interventions

Collaborate across the research, clinical, and scholarship arms of Jilya

Contribute to the development of clinical and cultural governance frameworks

Champion best-practice, trauma-informed care for Aboriginal clients

About You

To be successful, you will have :

Full AHPRA registration with Clinical Psychology endorsement

A demonstrated track record of delivering culturally safe psychological care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

Strong leadership and supervisory experience

Passion for systemic reform, social justice, and community engagement

Experience working in community-controlled, not-for-profit, or culturally diverse settings
