    Tara care are seeking reliable, empathetic and compassionate Care Givers to provide assistance to individuals in their own home. The range of services we provide includes personal care, domestic assistance, meal preparation, medication reminders, respite, shopping, transport and companionship. The Tarra Care team assist their clients from 1 hour to 8 hours a day, 7 days a week

    • At Tarra Care we offer traineeships to potential Aged care & Community support workers. This excellent opportunity means you get paid to study and work, and your course fees are also 'taken care of'.

      On completion of your qualification you may then be able to continue working for Tarra Care in a secure and meaningful role as a Home & Community Support Worker.

      To be eligible you must

    • have a kind nature;
    • be interested in pursuing a career in Home and / or Disability care;
    • be either an Australian citizen, permanent resident or comply with the relevant visa requirements; and
    • not already hold
    • a Cert III / Cert IV qualifications in Aged care
    • Limited places are available at any given time. You may be talent pooled for opportunities and contacted as they become available.

    • What is a traineeship?
    • Traineeships are jobs that combine work, structured training and formal assessment, which lead to a qualification.

      Traineeships can be undertaken on a full time or part-time basis and can be used as a valuable stepping stone to further your career in your chosen industry.

    • What is a traineeship contract?
    • A traineeship contract is a formal training and employment agreement between an employer, employee and Registered Training Organisation (RTO). In this case, it would be between the successful trainee, Tarra Care and The Warner Institute.

      Training contracts are registered with State or Territory training authorities.

    • Who can become a trainee?
    • A trainee must be employed on a full-time or permanent part-time basis.

    • Anyone who

    • does not
    • already hold a Cert III / Cert IV qualifications in Aged care and meets the citizenship / visa requirements is eligible for this program.
    • Employment Status for eligibility
    • As part of the traineeship you will become an employee of Tarra Care for a minimum period of 12 months. On successful completion of your traineeship program you may continue to work with Tarra Care to enhance your career in the care industry.
