Job descriptionKey Responsibilities Carry out surveying in a timely manner to ensure the accurate location of the pit perimeter, the pit wall angles, the ramp position, the terms and any other item related to the mine design Surveying of the waste dump to ensure the waste dump is built according to the design Surveying of the stockpiles on a regular basis Updating all the plans of the pit layouts and designs, the waste dump and the stockpiles Accurately and efficiently survey and mark the ore blocks onto the ground for each level of mining Carrying out survey pick-ups requested by the mine geology department of the ore Liaising with other mining personnel to ensure that at all times the ore is mined accurately Assist the Geology department to calculate the quantity and grade of ore mined each month Carry out a survey of each blasting pattern and calculate the volume blasted Validate and record the inputs into the cost of each blast Ensure the end of month survey of the pit is conducted and verify the volume mined from each of the payment levels Keep records of all the data and surveying used to determine payment to the contractor Measure and report geotechnical wall prisms for rock mass stability Maintain accurate plans of all the mining areas including pits, waste dumps, roads, ramps and stockpiles. Skills required for this role Relevant Qualifications - Degree or Diploma / Advanced Diploma of Surveying Proven mine surveying capability 2+ years' experience Experience with Topcon GPS equipment or similar (preferred) Experience with Surpac software or similar (preferred) Experience with Pix4d and Global Mapper software (preferred) Experience with UAV surveying (preferred) Valid WA "C" Class Driver's License A high degree of accountability, accuracy and proven time management skills Excellent verbal, written and computer skills Problem solving and analytical skills Enthusiastic and self-motivated Ability to multi-task The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a high performing team A strong commitment to safety

- The Role
An opportunity exists for an experienced Mine Surveyor to join Lynas Rare Earths on a full time basis. Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you are crucial in providing surveying design and support for Mt Weld Operations.
