Tasks and Qualifications :
The role :
Currently we have an opportunity for a motivated and talented Trades Assistant to join the team. The position will be located in Larapinta, QLD at one of our major client sites that operates 24 / 7.
This role can provide a good work / life balance along with excellent remuneration with overtime and penalty rates offered.
It is a requirement for you to have the flexibility to work 12 hr shifts, either day or night :
6.00 am to 6.00 pm OR 6.00 pm to 6.00 am. The roster pattern can vary between working 4 / 5 shifts ON and 4 / 5 shifts OFF. This includes weekdays and weekends.
What you will be doing :
Assist skilled trades colleagues with servicing clients' equipment- Provide assistance with maintenance, breakdowns and machine jams- Identifying opportunities for improvement- Adhering to and promoting safety standardsSkills and Experience :
Sound mechanical knowledge and experience maintaining systems and equipment is highly regarded- Partial or completed trade qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Fitting or related industries is highly regarded (though not mandatory)- Experience with mechanical and pneumatic systems, computerised maintenance systems, and automation (conveyors) would be an advantage- An alert individual who can logically solve issues that arise- Basic / Medium computer literacy skills- Be highly motivated using your strong initiative along with your excellent written and verbal communication skills- Be customer focused with the ability to develop and maintain on going relationships with the customer and your team- Must be physically fit to undertake the role requirements (Manual Handling and safety training will be provided)- Understanding of OH&S requirements- Dedicated and committed team member, that can show flexibility in work hours and shiftsWe also offer fabulous benefits such as :
