There is the opportunity for a joint appointment with local University.

This position is for an initial one year, with a view to a further three-year contract if mutually agreed.The Hospital : Our client's purpose-built 298-bed teaching hospital offers a suite of medical services from its location, 2 hours' drive from Melbourne.

Catering for a population of more than 260,000, the hospital treats close to 130,000 people every year in their busy Emergency Department.The hospital provides services in the areas of aged care, cancer care, elective surgery, maternity, rehabilitation and mental health.

It runs eight community mental health centres across the region and a Community Residential Care Unit for people with prolonged severe mental illness and associated disability.This hospital provides fantastic employment opportunities as one of the region's biggest employers.

The 1,789 staff members are employed in clinical and medical professions, administration, catering and cleaning.

The hospital is linked with the University School of Nursing and the Medical School, and actively participates in undergraduate teaching.The Mental Health Service is the regional provider of mental health services in the region.
