Looking for an experienced Leading Hand

• National commercial construction company
• South Sydney location
• We are looking for an experienced Leading hand to joining a national commercial and industrial construction business based in Sydney's south.
• Duties include

Managing and coordinating day labour and subcontractors.

Keeping accurate records, e.g. timesheets, work variations etc.

Ensure that all material and equipment is on site in time and suitable to the projects requirements.

Maintain professional relationships with labourers and subcontractors.

Attend toolbox meetings

Maintain site registers, diaries including progression photos. As well as timesheets.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current standards & codes.

Assist in compliance of site safety, workplace injuries, workers comp legislation, regulations, standards and codes.

Maintaining safety records and safety documentation.

Identify and assessing hazards and controlling safety risks.

Experience in managing sites (ideally, commercial, retail, residential and industrial construction.)

Ability to read and understand drawings and documentation.

Local Australian experience is essential

Knowledge of Australian building standards

Construction Industry Induction cardholder

Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Ability to achieve results within schedule.

Proactive in bettering site safety standards.
