Permanent, Full-time position | Monday-Friday

- Based in Genus' Belmont Office, Perth

- The Role
- Duties included but not limited to
- Cost Control_
- Be the conduit between Projects and Purchasing for all purchasing requests. Match requisitions and scope against CBS and budget and provide insight and feedback to the Projects team.
- Track and manage all purchasing and invoice approvals for the Major Projects team.
- Assist in the preparation and collation of project financial reports (weekly and monthly)
- Liaise with project team to collate and record man hour and machinery usage, along with quantities completed and provide advice on forecasted and actual costs.
- Scheduling_
- Provide required monitoring / reporting consistent with achieving contract deliverables within the agreed timeframes.
- Monitor labour requirements and usage within work breakdown structures (WBS) and report on potential concerns.
- Provide accurate and timely information on schedule to Project Manager for client meetings and for project reporting to management.
- Support efforts to collect, integrate and report key project data in an efficient manner.
- Contract Administration_
- Provide day to day interpretation of the contractual terms and conditions.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier purchases and invoices in line with contracts.
- Update Cost Control systems with variation and EOTs based on registers.
- Provide support to the Project Managers, Commercial Team and Project Team as required.
- Essential Skills / Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent Project Controls experience, ideally within construction or engineering (Desirable)
- Strong understanding of Project Accounting, with a sound knowledge of Earned Value and WIP.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and project management systems.
- Knowledge of Transmission, Distribution, Substation, Communications & Renewable Energy infrastructure would be an advantage.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- Experience in implementing systems - preferably 'Procore'
- High level customer relationship management and interpersonal skills.
- High level of commercial insight.
