Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to :

Lead technical initiatives across our full-stack platform
Architect scalable solutions for our growing customer base
Mentor junior team members in our 3-person engineering team while working closely with founders

Scale our infrastructure to support rapid customer growth across 3 regions while maintaining high availability

Optimize our AI response engine, staying at the cutting edge of LLM technology while creating an intuitive user experience

Tackle complex document processing and editing challenges that require innovative approaches

Your Mission

As a Senior Software Engineer in our Brisbane team, you will :

Drive technical excellence and innovation in our AI-powered platform

Shape our architecture and technology decisions as we scale

Impact the trajectory of a fast-growing startup poised to dominate the $100B daily RFP market

Join a global team with offices in Brisbane and Vancouver

This role offers a unique opportunity to become a key individual contributor in our engineering team and directly influence how we build solutions that eliminate tedious work for sales teams worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable features across our Vue.js frontend and Node.js / TypeScript backend

Lead complex technical initiatives from concept through implementation and deployment

Architect solutions that integrate cutting-edge AI technologies into practical applications

Establish best practices for code quality, testing, and technical documentation

Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and conduct thoughtful code reviews

Collaborate with founders and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications

Contribute to technical decision-making for infrastructure, cloud services, and third-party integrations

Proactively identify and resolve technical debt and performance bottlenecks

On your first day you can expect to :

Push a PR to production

In your first month you can expect to :

Gain deep understanding of our architecture, codebase, and development processes

Identify immediate opportunities for technical improvements

Contribute to ongoing development initiatives

In your first three months you can expect to :

Lead the implementation of at least one major feature or architectural improvement

Establish yourself as a technical mentor within the team

Help refine our development processes and technical standards

In your first six months you can expect to :

Drive significant technical initiatives that directly impact customer experience and business metrics

Play a key role in scaling our architecture to support our growing user base

Help shape our engineering team culture and recruitment strategy

Your experience may look like

5+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership

Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks, particularly Vue.js or React

Proven track record designing and implementing scalable cloud-based systems

Experience with Firebase or similar real-time database and authentication systems

Solid understanding of RESTful API design, performance optimization, and security best practices

Experience integrating and working with AI / ML technologies is highly valued

History of mentoring junior developers and contributing to team growth

Location & Office

Brisbane : Our office is located in Fortitude Valley.

You will work 5 days in office per week with flexibility for appointments.

Compensation

Salary : $150,000+ depending on experience and capabilities
