The department's human resources functions are organised in two branches, the People Branch and the Organisation Design Branch. Working in partnership, these two branches deliver strategic and operational HR functions to realise desired culture as the 'department of great jobs', and are flexible and innovative in how they attract, build and retain skills to achieve organisational outcomes. The position is also open to considering working from home arrangements.
The Performance and Conduct Assistant Director is responsible for managing a wide range of complex people management issues.
This includes case management of matters relating to performance management, underperformance, investigation of alleged breaches of the code of conduct, workplace conflict, bullying and harassment, dispute resolution, reviews of action and Public Interest Disclosures. Promoting a harassment free workplace and coordination of the Employee Support Officer (ESO) network is also an integral function of the team.
