Our client, a progressive and collaborative organisation are currently recruiting a Employee Relations Advisor to sit in their People Experience team. You will be joining a supportive, collaborative team who are continuously looking to improve. You will be working alongside other employee relations advisors & reporting into a Team Leader.
The aim of this position is to provide high quality and responsive employee relations advice and services, including but not limited to; interpretation of industrial instruments and policies; managing employer concerns relating to performance or conduct; conflict resolution; managing ill and injured employees; and provision of training.
This organisation offers a flexible hybrid working model & their offices are based in the city, close to public transport. This position can either be a 12-month fixed term contract or permanent on-going.
Your key responsibilities includeWork in the employee relations team to manage ER casesManaging your own case load with the support & guidance of seniors & the Team LeadContribute to the development and continual improvement of employee relations policiesProvide high quality and responsive employee relations advice and services including the following :interpretation of industrial instruments and policiesmanaging employer concerns relating to performance or conductconflict resolutionmanaging ill and injured employeesprovision of trainingMaintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholdersUndertake, coordinate and manage projectsProvide an advocacy service in Fair Work Commission and other tribunals as requiredSupport the General Manager, Employee Relations, as required during periods of enterprise bargainingPerform other duties as assigned within your scope of practice / workYou will have the followingExperience in employee relations policy development and advanced policy writing skills, with strong attention to detailHighly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and to work well within a teamSpecific knowledge of industrial relations legislation and knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of, workers' compensation and other related legislation and of the terms and conditions of employmentAbility to manage the resolution of workplace issues and complex tasks with mínimal supervisionCapacity to work to tight timelines in a highly complex working environmentExcellent attention to detail & the ability to work autonomouslyBenefitsInclusive and supportive cultureHybrid working conditionsJoin a collaborative and knowledgeable teamAt Charterhouse, we embrace, and value, diversity of culture, working arrangements, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
