The Role
We’re looking for a highly experienced and visionary Senior Designer to join our team. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end design process—from seasonal concept creation through to bulk production—ensuring all products are aligned with the Ena Pelly brand DNA, customer needs, and commercial objectives. You will also play a key role in mentoring the design team and collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
Design Development & Execution
Lead the design and development of seasonal main range ready to wear collections and exclusive capsule ranges aligned with brand strategy, growth targets, and critical timelines.
Conduct and present trend, fabric, and market research to inspire new ideas and maintain a strong design archive.
Create cohesive seasonal collections that reflect the brand’s aesthetic and resonate with our customer.
Ensure trims, colour palettes, and design details work harmoniously across the range.
Produce high-quality sketches, CADs, and specifications that clearly communicate design intent.
Present collections for internal review and feedback; refine ranges accordingly.
Product Development & Production
Own the design process from ideation through to tech pack creation and development.
Ensure all designs meet commercial fit standards, margin targets, and are delivered on time.
Prepare technical packs including construction guidelines, artwork files, and colour lab dip requests.
Liaise with offshore suppliers to ensure timely development of prototypes, lab dips, artwork strike-offs, and SMS.
Review and comment on samples (proto, SMS, pre-production, shipment) within designated windows.
Attend and contribute to fit sessions and range sign-offs, taking detailed notes and actions.
Category Expansion & Innovation
Identify opportunities for category growth and range extensions.
Utilise sales data and market insights to inform design and product decisions.
Ensure the product offering is innovative, high quality, and commercially viable.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, factories, and internal teams.
Manage day-to-day communication with suppliers across multiple platforms.
Ensure cohesive product execution across categories and monthly drops.
Leadership
Mentor and guide the Assistant Product Developer.
Provide clear direction on design intent, fit, construction, and product execution.
About You
5+ years’ experience in a similar senior design or technical garment role.
Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Strong knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, and fabrications.
Proven ability to manage end-to-end design processes across multiple categories.
Strong communication, organisational, and negotiation skills.
Experience working with offshore suppliers and navigating production timelines.
A collaborative mindset with a proactive and adaptable approach.
