Asset Inspector

Job descriptionConduct field inspections of council and utility / private assets to identify and document conditions and defects. Accurately capture and upload asset data using GPS-based and other data collection technologies. Maintain Council’s Asset Management databases and electronic records with a strong focus on data accuracy. Assist with condition assessments and the ongoing maintenance of the Asset Management System. Ensure appropriate setup and use of data collection devices. Promptly notify Maintenance Supervisors of urgent or high-risk asset issues. Perform other related duties as directed by the Team Leader – Data Collection and GIS. Class C Driver’s Licence. Technical knowledge of data collection devices. Experience with GPS-based data acquisition technologies. Familiarity with spatial systems such as MapInfo or similar. Experience setting up and maintaining field data collection devices.
