DutiesThe Project Officer will undertake project-related activities to plan, coordinate, and deliver a range of projects and strategic initiatives aligned with the Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management (DPFEM) business priorities.

Qualifications and Experience Essential qualifications are not prescribed; however, successful completion of, or substantial progress towards, tertiary qualifications may be advantageous. Project management qualifications are desirable.

Pre-Employment Checks The Head of the State Service requires candidates to satisfy pre-employment checks before appointment, promotion, or transfer. Serious criminal offences or repeated offences that are not mitigated may disqualify an applicant. Such offences include, but are not limited to :

Arson and fire setting;Sexual offences;Dishonesty (e.g., theft, burglary, fraud);Deception (e.g., obtaining an advantage by deception);Violent crimes and crimes against the person;Malicious property damage;Trafficking narcotics;The qualifications are not mandatory but may be advantageous; project management qualifications are desirable.
