This State Government Department is committed to changing the landscape of SA, delivering a diverse portfolio of projects providing systems and services to SA communities. An increase in current and future projects for State infrastructure and services have unlocked an opportunity for a Data Reporting Analyst to join the team at this time of exciting growth.

You will be a key part of the PMO developing and supporting the project management framework and delivering required reporting. Part of a team that supplies an essential service across the department you will enjoy varied project oversight and liaise at all levels within this large department.

The key task is to ensure that the data within the platform is of the agreed quality and input in line with project tracking requirements so that you can extract the data and generate the reports required by key stakeholders.

This means in your day to day you will be reviewing the data on the platform and then as needed working closely with the Project Managers to add additional requirements or make changes. The input of this data means that projects are not only reported correctly but also that the Project teams can track their key milestones. It's a key time for this Department, the uptake on the platform has been positively received so your role is very consultative as everyone wants to go in the same direction. Once the data meets the framework requirements you will then produce the reports that are provided to the Project stakeholders and Executive Directors.

As an integral user of the platform, you're going to spot very quickly any improvements that can be made, and part of your role will be to keep focused on process improvement.

  • You will bring to the role
  • Sound understanding of project management systems and / or reporting tools.
  • Proven experience creating data-led and customised reports using tools such as PowerBi or Tableau.
  • Demonstrated ability to extract, analyse and edit large amounts of data.
  • Good stakeholder management and ability to drive communication at all levels
  • Previous experience in Data, Systems or Insights analysis in a project-based environment is highly desirable.
