  • This position is for a February 2026 commencement for a period of 12 months with possible extension. To be eligible for this position you must be PGY7+.

    • Canberra Health Services (CHS) is dedicated to delivering high-quality, effective, person-centred care, providing acute, sub-acute, primary, and community-based health services to the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surrounding region.
    • Join a robust medical team comprising of 50 FACEMs, including five PEMs, two Post Graduate Fellows (PGF), four Senior Registrars, 35 Registrars, and multiple other junior medical staff.
    • Play a pivotal role in one of the busiest EDs in the country, with just under 100,000 presentations annually, a significant paediatric caseload, high acuity, and a substantial trauma caseload.
    • The PGF is supervised by Specialists and will assist in the supervision of Junior Medical Officers in the ED, as well as provide direct clinical care for patients. It is our expectation that the PGF will progress to take part in the on-call consultant roster.
    • Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check
    • Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy
