Female Disability Support Worker (Casual)

We are currently looking for a

• FEMALE Disability Support Worker to work in the MELTON area who is available on FRIDAYS.

We are currently seeking experienced and committed Disability Support Workers to provide care and supervision during a variety of daytime shifts (Fridays for sure with potential shifts on other days). This is a "as soon as possible" start position.

Applicants must be experienced with a responsible attitude. The successful applicant will be expected to have a good understanding of how to support an individual living with a disability. You must be passionate about helping others to maintain their quality of life and independence. You will need to be compassionate and empathetic with strong listening and communication skills to be successful and the ability to connect with people with behavioural challenges.

Qualifications & Experiences

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic Disability Support Worker with the following :

Certificate IV in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support or relevant

Current First Aid / CPR Certificate

Driver licence

NDIS Screening Check

Experience working with clients who have limited mobility (wheelchair use) is an asset

Key Responsibilities & Duties for Disability Support Worker

Provide individualised support and some personal care to our client using a supportive and positive approach

Motivate and promote client independence

Assist the client with their emotional, psychological, cultural and spiritual needs

Provide transport when required

Make sure our client is HAPPY!
