- About the role
In this role you will be responsible for developing a complete QA program that not only safeguards the quality of our products, but also fosters a 'quality culture', in which all employees become actively engaged in guaranteeing quality in both production and the finished product.
You will have ownership to deliver and maintain quality systems, lead investigation and project risk assessment and be responsible in identifying efficiencies as well as analytics and reports to drive compliance and continuous improvement. You will lead projects and develop and implement new processes cross-functionally to ensure we are proactively monitoring and managing quality.
- Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Test Team to perform the appropriate level of Test activities across multiple Projects and BAU workstreams
- Engage with IT stakeholders, SMEs, Business Analysts, Vendors and Technicians to collate holistic requirements and plan for the right level of testing
- Author Test Strategy, Test plans, Status reports and Test summary / completion reports
- Measure and report test results throughout stages of the development lifecycle
- Provide guidance around Tool-sets for Test management and Automation
- Oversee the continual improvement of the testing processes. Actively promoting test principles and disciplines across IT and seek feedback on effectiveness of testing methodology
- Build and develop effective working relationships with business & customers to ensure business strategies are understood
- Investigate any issues with the test environment, provide feedback for any systems improvement
- About you
We are looking for a self-motivated, people focused and passionate Quality Assurance Manager who has a strong focus on people management, quality management systems, training and continuous improvement for better commercial outcomes. You have demonstrated success in integration and system testing as well as experience in architecture design.
You bring a calm demeanour and able to manage fast paced and complex quality agendas. You thrive as a people leader and bring proven experience in creating a highly motivated, effective and capable team through ongoing development and teamwork. Key stakeholders will be varied across our internal and external operations and we are looking for someone who can foster relationships and have a positive, can-do attitude.
- Key skills and experience
- Relevant Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (such as Business, IT, Engineering, Accounting & Finance) or significant equivalent workplace experience
- Desirable : ITIL v3 or 4 Foundation certified
- At least 10 years IT experience, with at least 5 years in architecture roles
- Experience in managing and leading a team
- Proven expertise in the development of solution architectures for complex systems inclusive of all architectural domains
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities to identify, analyse and resolve technology challenges in response to business and ICT requirements
