• Description
• Scheduling work and programs, and allocation of Boilermakers and Welders to each project
• Coordinate engineering and technical details for each project, in liaison with Project Managers, to ensure conformity with specifications and relevant Australian Standards
• Maintain Cost Sheet for each project
• Ensure Shop Drawings are up-to-date for fabrication, and take-off materials for getting prices and placing orders
• Weekly program and 3 weekly schedule for all projects
• Ensure staff timesheets are filled out correctly & submitted to Accounts Payable
• Check on progress of outsourced fabrication, and notify PM if any issues with quality of finished product
• Run QA sheets for every project and assist in QA System for manufacturing : updates, reviews, implementation, and maintenance
• Oversee loading / unloading of trucks
• Ensure tools & equipment are kept in good working order
• Assist in Management System for manufacturing : updates, reviews, implementation, and maintenance
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues
• Skills and Experiences
• Experience in overseeing engineering and fabrication functions, preferably for large structures
• Experience in time tracking and project costing - and delivering on budgets
• Experience in managing WHS
• Experience in QA system management
