Job description

We are seeking Duty Managers / Hotel Managers to take on full-time roles based in in Roma, QLD

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties to ensure that the business’ operations are smoothly integrated and run efficiently, including :

  • Directing and overseeing reservation, reception, check in, room service and housekeeping activities.
  • Welcoming guests to the hotel, restaurant, functions and events, and providing them with local tourism information about the Roma region.
  • Planning a range of function, conference and restaurant events that cater for both corporate and leisure sectors.
  • Overseeing accounting, purchasing and cost monitoring.
  • Ensuring compliance with liquor, health and safety laws and regulations.
  • Managing customer complaints and queries in a professional manner and resolving any conflicts.
  • Assisting the owners with the development of documented procedures and staff training.
  • Supervising security arrangements and arranging contractors for property maintenance when required.

To secure this exciting position, you will need :

  • A Diploma or higher qualification in Hotel Management or closely related discipline (candidates with at least 3 years’ relevant full-time work experience will also be considered).
  • A minimum of 1 year full-time experience in a similar role.
  • A strong focus on high-level customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team and demonstrate applied leadership.
  • Access to reliable transport.
