La Trobe University is seeking a strategic and experienced Associate Director – Cyber Security Operations to take charge of its cyber defence capabilities. About the Role As Associate Director, you will :

Lead a high-performing internal cyber team and manage our outsourced Security Operations Centre (SOC)Oversee threat detection, response, and vulnerability managementImplement forward-thinking cybersecurity frameworks and strategiesProvide executive-level risk reporting and strategic recommendationsDrive security awareness and build organisational capabilityFoster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvementWhat You'll Bring Proven experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, and risk managementStrong leadership and stakeholder management skillsIn-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance, and best practicesExperience managing third-party vendors and SOC relationshipsA strategic mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environmentWhy Join La Trobe?
