We're excited to find a driven and detail-oriented Analyst to join our team and support our Portfolio Managers! As a
- Graduate Analyst,
- you will play a key role in assisting with the research, analysis, and reporting on potential and current investment opportunities.
Working alongside the Portfolio Managers, Fund Accountants, and Third-Party Fund Service Providers, you will ensure that advice, information, and recommendations are reported in a timely and accurate manner. You'll also assist with data collection, analysis, and maintenance as directed, and help with the preparation and upkeep of marketing materials.
- Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will focus on four main areas : Research, Portfolio and Data Analysis, Compliance, and Professional Development and Advice. These include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Research
- Assist with the research, analysis, and reporting on prospective investment opportunities to help build successful investment portfolios.
- Support the collection of raw macroeconomic and industry data and assist the team with industry and sector-wide research and analysis.
- Portfolio and Data Analysis
- Maintain and update analytics for investors as required.
- Prepare and update marketing materials as needed.
- Work on special projects related to data collection, analysis, and maintenance.
- Enhance and monitor current portfolio analytics.
- Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Quay's and Bennelong Funds Management's policies, procedures, systems, and processes.
- Professional Development and Advice
- Stay up to date with market developments and factors affecting the listed real estate market.
- Keep informed about financial services regulations by participating in external training, attending seminars, and networking with relevant industry organisations
- About You
You would make a strong applicant for this role if you have :
- A strong understanding of accounting principles and modelling skills, preferably in real estate investment (not essential), or experience in a similar role requiring high levels of numeracy, research, and quantitative analysis.
- A degree qualification - a background in finance, accounting, or economics is preferred but not mandatory.
- Entry-level experience (Graduate) : Prior experience as an Analyst with a good understanding of markets, finance, and accounting is advantageous but not essential.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to build relationships.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Lateral thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- A demonstrated ability to be a team player and contribute positively to team culture.
