In this role you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing operation in their respective department and the daily communications associated with manufacturing processes from both internal and / or external customers.
This role is for our weekend shift with hours as follows :
- Friday : 7am-3pm
- Saturday : 4pm - 4am
- Duties and Responsibilities
Outline the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Follow production schedules posted on Extrusion communication board.
- Post specifications, set up sheets and appropriate lot numbers.
- Perform start ups
- Performs die and roll change over
- Performs screen changes
- Performs shutdowns
- Monitor operation to ensure machine is functioning to specifications and adjust as needed
- Monitor thickness (via Measurex) and identify rolls and any problems on chart
- Measure width of sheeting, monitor length and note weights per roll
- Unload rolls from turret winder and load into cages appropriately. When cage is full, transport to appropriate storing area
- Complete all relevant documentation such as EBD, production reports, log books, identification labels, parameters, logs etc
- Monitor process according to QA specifications and complete QA checklists
- Perform housekeeping duties and fill out appropriate cleaning sheets
- Check blend feed
- Provide coverage for other operators over breaks
- Operate 'burn off' unit
- Regrind / resale as required
- Incorporate EMS practices into daily routine
- Comply with regulatory requirements of EH & S.
- Comply with regulatory requirements of G.M.P.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Must be able to perform the Primary Function demonstrated by passing the First Competency Assessment and Annual Competency Assessment.
