- Refer appropriate risks to our reinsurer, complete with a summary and recommendation
- Support the Tele-Interview team, if required, by assisting with Tele-Interview calls in overflow situations
- Absolute focus on our members, through proactive evidence gathering, including telephone underwriting, and informative and timely communication of decisions which supports and advances our members understanding of the key issues involved.
- About you
You are an excellent communicator with a keen interest and ability to improve and influence. With a customer-centric approach you ensure the best possible outcomes for both our members and the organisation. Whilst being focused on the detail, you can multitask and manage high volumes. Furthermore, your skills, experience and qualifications may include the following :
- Proven experience in an underwriting role within the Life Insurance industry with a focus on life, income protection, total & permanent disability (TPD)
- Fully proficient and experienced in tele-underwriting
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Interest and ability to coach and mentor team members
- Understanding the process for identification, assessment, and escalation risks according to the Risk Management Framework
