This role is to supervise and ovesee the day-to-day operation of very busy Workshop to meet the schedule and Customer Requiements. Also to provide leadership to the team to achieve targets with quality and efficiency
- To be considered for this role, you will possess;
- Knowledge of Fitting and turning
- Prefered Knowledge of Hydralic systems but not essential
- Good written and oral Communication skills
- Good Decision and people management skills
- Mechanical and Problem solving skills
- Knowledge of safety policies and procedures
- A high level of maturity, assertiveness, and self-motivation
- Ability to manage and motivate staff in the workshop.
- Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling labour, raw materials, and machines tools as per the work schedule and customer specifications
- Responsibility for and reporting on key performance areas for the workshop i. safety, quality, volume, and manning.
- Planning of maintenance and reporting of future maintenance requirements.
- Development of operators on shift and identification of specific training needs.
- Assist in development of operational procedures.
- Ensure adequate standards of housekeeping are maintained to ensure a hazard free workplace.
- Ensure toolbox talks are performed
- Ensure that workplace hazard and housekeeping inspections are performed.
