- About the Role
The Research Fellow will contribute to the research efforts of UniSA STEM, and in particular will undertake research on the project titled "Multiscale modelling of systems with complex microscale detail" via an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Projects Grants (DP) multi-institutional agreement between the University of South Australia, the University of Adelaide and John Hopkins University.

Core ResponsibilitiesConduct high-quality research project independently or under limited supervision and in collaboration with industry and other stakeholdersDesign, perform and record experimental work Independently or under limited supervision, communicate research outcomes in both verbal and written form including presentations and reports to the research teamEnsure delivery of project's research milestones, objectives and work programs are met on time, within budget and to the industry partner's satisfactionDevelop a record of independent research that results in high-quality publicationsEssential Skills and ExperienceA PhD qualification in Applied Mathematics, or closely related relevant disciplineDemonstrated research productivity as a postdoctoral researcher in mathematical modelling, particularly regarding partial differential equations, boundary conditions elasticity, fluid dynamics and multiscale modelling, with experience relevant to at least one research strandDemonstrated experience in numerical analysis, including an ability to independently write and develop numerical code Record of independent research resulting in high-quality, international, peer-reviewed publications and evidence of growing citation impactEvidence of participation in external activities such as industry or community engagement relevant to the field of researchBenefitsGetting a great job working with the best is just the start.
