This is a three month Fixed-Term Part-Time appointment ( FTE) within the GDS Service, with possibility of extension.

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) is a service area of the Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) that provides comprehensive mental health services to children and adolescents in Western Australia from birth to 18 years following a holistic and patient-centred approach.
The research team facilitate and deliver impactful research initiatives with a goal of improving child health outcomes and ensuring our services meet the needs of our young people and their families, now, and in the future.

About the Role :
As a Senior Research Officer you will plan and undertake research and evaluation relating to clinical research priorities across CAMHS, contributing to a robust research and education environment across our organisation.
Working closely with leadership, clinicians, and stakeholders, you will support the development and implementation of CAMHS research projects and participate in assessing the efficacy of CAMHS services, and the success of reform initiatives.
You will manage client research data collection and evaluation including analysis and report preparation as well as efficiently managing activity and performance data systems. You will be committed to ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and governance, relevant legislation, policies, and frameworks and maintaining knowledge of mental health issues relevant to research projects and reform initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include :
Facilitating client engagement and ongoing data collection, conducting evaluations, and analysing data to assess treatment effectiveness of CAMHS services.
Preparing comprehensive reports, engaging in continuous monitoring and evaluation, and collaborating with various stakeholders including ethics committees and partner organizations.
Providing expertise in statistical analysis, presenting research findings, and maintaining knowledge of mental health issues while ensuring efficient management of activity and performance data systems.
