    • The role
    • Responsibilities
    • Provide project teams with specialist advice on environmental aspects such as noise, vibration, air quality, water quality, soil management, heritage, sustainability, and ecology.

      Manage and facilitate the ongoing development, implementation, maintenance, and refinement of environmental compliance.

      Develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans.

      Support the EM team to develop project site inspection, audit, and review schedules to monitor environmental compliance and performance.

      Conduct inspections, audits, and training to ensure implementation of best management practices, adherence to regulatory requirements, and promote continuous improvement

      Ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation, regulations, management plans, contractual obligations and managing relevant environmental approvals for works.

      Prepare programmatic multi-site internal audit and assurance plans to assist clients manage their environmental risks across their portfolio.

      Assess compliance with environmental regulations, guidelines and management plans.

      Ensure the safe delivery of audit and assurance engagements in accordance with NGH and clients safety management requirements.

      Train, coach and mentor support staff.

      Support to the broader Environmental Management Service Line.

    • Skills and Experiences
    • About you

      This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced compliance SME with mulit-disciplinary knowledge. You might be a Lead / Principal level Environmental Auditor, Engineer, Scientist or Environmental Management professional who has gained experience in evaluating and maintaining environmental regulatory compliance. Ideally, you will have :

    • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science / Engineering, Planning or related field
    • Exemplar certified Lead Auditor
    • Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) would be considered highly beneficial
    • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
    • Experienced with Environmental Management Systems, including digital environmental data and compliance management platforms
