The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) is seeking Project Officers to play key roles in supporting delivery of the NSW Government's $435 million Energy Social Programs and the Commonwealth Government's $1.1 billion National Energy Bill Relief program in NSW.
As a Project Officer in the Energy Social Programs Branch, you will take a customer-focused, innovative and holistic approach to project management, governance and program delivery. You will contribute to continuous improvement of digital tools, systems and processes with a focus on delivering positive customer outcomes and user experiences.
You will consult and collaborate with other policy and program teams across DCCEEW to support, leverage and implement a shared approach and maximise public value. You will also develop and maintain relationships with co-delivery partners including energy businesses, Service NSW, consumer groups and non-government organisations (NGOs). The Energy, Climate Change & Sustainability (ECCS) Group within DCCEEW leads strategic policy, programs and major initiatives on renewable energy and energy security, climate change and environmental sustainability.
The Energy Social Programs Branch within ECCS designs, delivers, governs and reviews NSW Government programs that support households and small businesses to pay their energy bills and stay connected to essential services. This includes over $1.5 billion worth of programs in the financial year 2024-25.
