Your new role
Curtin School of Allied Health is excited to announce an opening for a full-time, continuing School Business Manager (SBM). This role is essential in providing executive support and strategic business guidance to the Head of School and the School executive team.
As the SBM, you will act as the primary liaison with internal service providers and engage with key external stakeholders. Your role will be crucial in supporting strategic planning efforts and managing projects designed to assess and address business needs, all aimed at achieving the School’s strategic objectives. Collaboration will be vital as you work closely with the Faculty Business Manager to ensure the School’s operations align with the Faculty's strategic vision.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) :
- Monitor budgets in consultation with the Head of School and the University finance team, and represent the School at relevant meetings.
- Develop and implement strategic and operational plans in alignment with Faculty and University priorities, managing key projects and business initiatives.
- Collaborate with University service groups to ensure effective delivery of services that support School activities and initiatives.
- Manage day-to-day operations, providing leadership and guidance to staff through recruitment, induction, performance reviews, and work prioritisation.
- Participate in Faculty-wide projects and community forums, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices across schools while upholding the University’s values.
Who we are looking for :
A strong track record of successful strategic, financial and people management within a University setting or within a complex organisation.Your expertise / capabilities must include strong attention to detail, planning, coordinating, and managing resources, budgets, schedules, forecasting, and reporting to inform decision-making.Highly adaptable, flexible, capable of problem-solving and experienced in managing complex organisational needs.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support a positive, inclusive School culture, and effectively engage with multiple stakeholders.You will have a qualification or equivalent experience in Business Management within a complex organisation.Role Requirements :
