About the role

The Diversity, Inclusion and Aboriginal Workforce Development (DIAWD) team has two permanent positions available for Coordinators to join our team.

The DIAWD team drives strategic initiatives that advance workforce diversity and foster inclusion across the Department. It works towards building and maintaining a workplace environment where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered. Through sustainable and meaningful action, the team aims to cultivate a culture that recognises and celebrates the diversity of our people, their identities, and lived experiences.

The Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator is responsible for the development, delivery and monitoring of various Diversity and Inclusion projects and programs aligned with the Department’s Workforce Diversification and Inclusion Strategy and Action Plan.

The successful candidate will have experience in working collaboratively with a wide range of teams to maintain and build a high level of diversity and inclusion capability, positioning the Department as an employer of choice in relation to the attraction, retention, and support of employees.

Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, with responsibility for delivering key initiatives, including involvement in programs such our flagship Graduate Program. A proactive, solutions-focused mindset is required to ensure sustained progress across priority areas.

To be eligible for appointment to permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia.
