Your impact
Jacobs is seeking a talented Commercial Analyst to join our dynamic Water, Digital & Delivery Solutions (WDDS) business. This is an exceptional opportunity to advance your career with a global leader in professional services, working on projects that create positive impact for communities across Australia and New Zealand.
As a Commercial Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in driving commercial excellence across our multidisciplinary teams. Working closely with our Lead Commercial Analyst and Directors of Operations, you'll provide strategic commercial guidance that shapes how we deliver world-class solutions to our clients. This role can be based in any of our ANZ offices .
Client Management & Commercial Strategy
Lead the management of Water Panel relationships, including strategic bid coordination, competitive pricing strategies, and ongoing client rate optimisation Drive commercial consistency across ANZ operations in partnership with senior commercial leadership
Financial Analysis & Reporting
Develop comprehensive budgets and forecasts that support business growth objectives Conduct strategic analysis of financial performance and market trends Ensure robust financial and commercial governance across all projects Deliver clear, actionable insights through detailed financial reporting
Strategic Projects & Process Excellence
Special projects that enhance commercial performance and operational efficiency Optimise working capital management and implement process improvements Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalise on growth opportunities

Here's what you'll need
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and core corporate platforms. You'll demonstrate exceptional analytical capabilities, including the ability to analyse complex information while understanding the context and limitations of data sources, recognise the relevance of information from diverse sources, and combine related data into coherent datasets. Strong communication skills are essential, particularly in providing clear explanations of complex numerical information and communicating reasoned views and opinions based on thorough analysis. We're looking for someone who proactively identifies and highlights risks and opportunities arising from analysis that will enhance commercial performance.
Preferred Experience Exposure to engineering consultancy or professional services environment, experience in bid management, pricing strategies, or client relationship management, and knowledge of water infrastructure or related sectors would be highly valued but not essential for the right candidate.
